Paola De Aqualuz

Paola De Agualuz was a health practitioner in the 1600's. She was of African descent but served the people of Columbia for many years. Unfortunately this was not a good time for women with curative powers. She was suspected and tried for witch craft 3 times. She was even sentenced to death, but this sentence was revoked and instead she received 200 lashes and a shortened sentence. She is just one of many examples of the incredible ignorance of people during this time. #horror

Paola De Agualuz era curandera en el siglo XVII. Ella era de ascendencia africana pero sirvió a la gente de Columbia durante muchos años. Desafortunadamente, este no era un buen momento para las mujeres con poderes curativos. Ella fue sospechosa y juzgada por arte de brujería 3 veces.
