Agua Caliente Casino was built in Mexico 1928 and opened on 1930. It was a huge tourist destination for Mexicans and Americans alike. It was also reportedly haunted by by a female singer who was shot by her lover for poisoning him.
When she would not give the antidote to him, he shot her!
Americans flocked to the casino for gambling and entertainment. Movies were even filmed there and Rita Hayworth was discovered singing in the lounge!
Mexico outlawed gambling in 1935 and the casino became a state run school for some time. The school eventually fell into disrepair and was closed. The remains can still be seen today.
